You can install PHP extension from your WHM. Please check the the following steps to install GD on your VPS.
1) Login to WHM
2) Find “easyapache (apache update)” from the left hand panel
3)Click on “Start customizing based on profile”
4) Select the Apache version you require.
5) Seclect the PHP verson. I would recommend PHP 5.
6) Seclect the PHP Build,
7) Now scroll down to the bottom and select “Exhaustive Options List”
8)Seclect “GD” by checking the tick box next to it.
Proceed with the recompile
This process may take anywhere between 10 to 30 minutes depending on your server’s configuration. Just let it do whatever it wants and don’t touch anything meanwhile.
