cPanel: How to Activate SpamAssassin on Your Email Account

1. Login to your cPanel account
2. Under the Mail section, click SpamAssassin
3. Click the "Enable SpamAssassin" button

1. Login to your cPanel account
2. Under the Mail section, click SpamAssassin
3. Click the "Disable Auto-Delete Spam" button

When using the spam scoring system, the higher the number the more conservative SpamAssassin becomes.
Filters work to filter out spam from email addresses from specific domains, users, etc. These are called blacklists.
To filter OUT emails:
1. Login to your cPanel account
2. Under the Mail section, click SpamAssassin
3. Click the "Configure SpamAssassin" button
4. Add appropriate filter(s) in the blacklist from input boxes. Here are some examples:
  a. [email protected]: this blocks all email from this email address
  b. *@gmail.com: this blocks all email addresses from gmail

Filters can also work to allow emails through SpamAssassin that have previously been blocked. This is called a whitelist.
To filter IN emails:

2. Under the Mail section, click SpamAssassin
3. Click the "Configure SpamAssassin" button
4. Add appropriate filter(s) in the whitelist from input boxes. Here are some examples:
