We always recommend that you backup your website. This can be done easily via cPanel/WHM. To do this:
1. Login into WHM
2. Type "backup" into the search box
3. Click on "configure backup"
On this page you can set the intervals (daily, weekly or monthly) for your backups and other options like compress backups as per your requirements.
