Cisco Powered Network

Every Supreme Server is connected to a Cisco switching gear with redundant uplink connections, redundant processing engines, and redundant power supplies. There is no reason why the connection to your server should ever be lost.

Network Redundancy

Supreme Servers uses multiple tier 1 service providers to allow your customers to view your website as fast as possible. In addition to the multiple Tier 1 carriers, we also have a complete meshed network. There are multiple core routers and multiple core switches. If any pieces were to fail, there would be NO customers affected by this failure.

Routing

Supreme Servers runs the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP4) for best case routing. The BGP4 protocol is a standard that allows for the routing of packets of information sent out from our network. Each packet of information is evaluated and sent over the best route possible. Because of our redundant network architecture, packets may be sent via alternative routes even if they are being delivered to the same end user. Should one of our providers fail, packets leaving our network are automatically redirected through another route via a different provider.

Network Security

The Supreme Servers' network is a fully switched network. Traffic destined for a website hosted on a server is sent only through switching equipment necessary to deliver the information to that server. This minimizes the risk of someone sniffing or capturing traffic being sent across the network. Furthermore, Supreme Servers vigorously prosecutes persons who generate malicious attacks on our internal network.
