How to add a user to your Windows system

To add a user to your system and allow them to login via Remote Desktop, please do the following:
  1. Goto: Server Manager -> Tools -> Computer Management
  2. Computer Management -> System Tools -> Local Users and Groups -> Users
  3. Right-click in the open space and choose "New User..."
  4. In this dialog, please enter the Username, the Password twice and choose the wanted security opotions
  5. Click "Create"
  6. Now, goto Computer Management -> System Tools -> Local Users and Groups -> Groups
  7. Double click the "Remote Desktop Users"
  8. Click the "Add..." button and enter your new users username in the "Object" field
  9. Click "Ok"
  10. Click "Apply"
  11. Click "Ok"

Your user has now been added to the system and the Remote Desktop Users group so it can login to the server via Remote Desktop.
